Manifesto

Nukkad reminds one of the good old days with friends where we joked, laughed, listened to the commentaries, cheered the Indian team and our local teams, looked with a longing heart at the 'heartthrobs' walking by, talked about the future, about career, about love and marriage, and affairs in the neighborhood and indulged in constant good natured ribbing - all the while sharing a cup of tea!

One always looked forward to go to the Nukkad, be it in times of joy or sorrow, of celebration or mourning. One can recall dozens of instances when we supported each other like a family, and at times we were even more than a family for one another. The bonding of the heart was stronger than that of blood!

Those were the good old days! We present our humble endeavor in trying to recreate the camaraderie of the good old days once again. In the evolving days of technology, this attempt is to create an online Nukkad that will be as vibrant, as valuable and as much fun as the gatherings that happened under the banyan tree or on the perimeter wall.
